Out of breath, ankle-deep in Naga blood and slime in the ears. The sewers sure are not your fancied combat area. And what do we have here? A Naga that makes every paladin shine green with envy!
Abilities
Needle Spine (Physical) – He will throw a spine at 3 random raid members that deal 2.2k damage to the person as well as to at most 3 additional near that person.
Impaling Spine (Physical) – Will impale a random raid member with a spine that initially deals 4.5k an places the following debuff on him: Stunned. Bleeding for 2750 damage every 3 seconds. This spine can be removed from any raid member close by using it.
Tidal Burst (Frost) – Every minute he will enclose himself in a big bubble. While bubbled, he will be immune to any damage. This bubble can be destroyed by a spine a raid member picked up from an impaled person. When the bubble is destroyed, the raid will take 8.5k damage. This can only be binary resisted.
Class requirements
This fight is very healing intensive, so you should have a good and capable bunch of healers in the raid. Also, as this boss enrages after 8 minutes, you need to walk the fine line between too many healers and too few DPS.
Also, due to the massive amount of damage you will take here, think of this fight as a gear check. Everyone in the raid needs to be at 10k health buffed. No exceptions!
The pull
The pull can be either done by the MT or any MD-ing hunter. Once you have pulled the boss, move him into the middle of his room so the raid has enough space to spread.
Positions and strategy
The raid will position itself around the boss. Use as much space as available and don’t stand too close to each other. His hit-box (the area you can use melee attacks) is larger than it appears, so melee have plenty of space to place themselves around him.

As said earlier, he will randomly impale 2 raid members with a spine. While it will not immediately kill them, it will nevertheless stun them, reducing your DPS and eventually kill them if not healed. If you see a raid member near you that got impaled (he will most likely have a skull over his head) run up to him and take the spine out of his back. There is a huge spine in his back you just need to click on. Once you do, you will find one [item]Naj’entus Spine[/item] in your backpack.
If you do not have a ‘/use Naj’entus Spine’ macro on your toolbar, make sure you can use this item as soon as told!
When the boss bubbles himself, he’ll be immune to all damage done, but don’t wipe aggro. As such, he will still be tanked by your MT. Now, the healers need to make sure, EVERYONE in the raid is at max health. As soon as this is accomplished, wait for the command of the raid leader to *pop* the shield. If told, DO SO IMMEDIATELY!
The raid will take massive damage at that point, so you healers have to aoe heal as many as possible before someone gets an unlucky hit and dies.
So, there are only 2 important things to focus on in this fight:
Take the spine out of any impaled raid member and DO NOT blast the bubble before told!
Manage those 2 and this boss will die!
