Class requirements
Having 2-3 Hunters allows for a Pet Attack tactic on the Kinetic Bombs.
The pull
The encounter will start itself as soon as a player gets near the Queen. In that case all tanks can move to their respective target.
In case you wipe, all Princes will be targetable and the pull should start with either Missdirects to the respective tanks or by each tank running in at the same time and taunting his target.
Positions and strategy
The raid will occupy the middle of the room, being able to get quickly to all Princes for when they switch. The fight will start with Prince Valanar, so the raid will focus on him.
Valanar will be pulled to the east of the room and tanked near the walls. His tank can use the wall to stop the knockback of his Shock Vortex, so he doesn’t get tossed around the whole room.
While Valanar is Empowered he will occassionally cast his Empowered Shock Vortex which puts a Shock Zone on every player. In case this happens, player need to get away from each other to not be tossed around the room too much and take unnecessary damage. When he’s not Empowered, he’ll occassionally summon a Shock Zone at a random spot in the room (noticable due to a large white vortex). Player need to get away from this area quickly!
Taldaram will be tanked in vicinity to Valanar so meele can change targets quickly. Face him away from the raid, as his Glittering Sparks are a frontal cone attack.
He will occassionally summon a Flare which flies in a straight line to a player and then explodes on him, dealing damage to everyone near. When he gets Empowered, his Flares will also shoot at player near while it’s on it’s way to the target.
As Keleseth is a caster and can’t be interrupted, his placement is not as easy, so he’ll usually be tanked where he stands (or moves to). The tank will need to get good threat on him while the raid focuses on the other two Princes. Also, the tank needs to gather the Dark Nucleus that Keleseth spawns in the room. Note that the Dark Nucleus can’t be taunted in the original sense as they don’t have a threat table, but rather stick to the player that attacked them last. Knowing that, equip your range weapon and just shoot them. Try to gather every Nucleus in the room as they die over time. Once the raid focuses on Keleseth, it may be wise to back up so people don’t accidently attack a Nucleus and pull them off you. Regain threat when the raid switches again.
Note:
All Princes share a health pool and can only be damaged if they are Empowered (and thus gain a health bar).
Kinetic Bomb:
During the encounter, multiple Bombs will spawn mid air and slowly move towards the floor. If they hit the floor, they will explode and damage everyone in the raid massively. If a Bomb gets a direct hit from either meele or range attacks, it will slowly move updwards again. The Bombs will despawn automatically after a minute if they havn’t exploded.
You can make your life easy if you have enough hunters in the raid and just order the hunter pets to attack the Bombs. They will then stick with them and automatically attack them if they get near the ground.
In case you have no hunters (or not enough hunters) every player needs to look out if there is a Bomb near him and near the ground. If so, give it a quick hit and then focus on your targets again. It is important those Bombs don’t explode!
10 Player Difficulty
As you will most likely only have 2 tanks, you will need to either have one tank take both Valanar and Taldaram, while the other tanks Keleseth. Or you will need to have a caster tank Keleseth.
