Abilities
Lady Deathwhisper:
Phase 1:
Mana Barrier (Buff) – Reduces mana instead of health when taking damage.
Death and Decay (Shadow) – Deals Shadow Damage every second to everyone in the affected area.
Shadow Bolt (Shadow) – Deals Shadow Damage to a target.
Dominate Mind (Debuff) – Charms the target for 12 seconds increasing his damage by 200% and his healing by 500%.
Phase 2:
Frostbolt Volley (Frost) – Deals Frost Damage to nearby enemies and slows their movement.
Frostbolt (Frost) – Deals Frost Damage to a target and slows it’s movement.
Death and Decay (Shadow) – Deals Shadow Damage every second to everyone in the affected area.
Touch of Insignificance (Debuff) – Reduces your threat generation by 20% each stack, stacks up to 5 times.
Dominate Mind (Debuff) – Charms the target for 12 seconds increasing his damage by 200% and his healing by 500%.
Summon Spirit (Summon) – Summons Vengeful Spirits to destroy enemies.
Cult Adherent & Reanimated Adherent:
Deathchill Bolt (Shadowfrost) – Deals Shadowfrost Damage to a target.
Deathchill Blast (Shadowfrost) – Deals Shadowfrost Damage to a all enemies within 10 yards of a target. Used when under the effect of Dark Empowerment.
Shroud of the Occult (Buff) – Reflect all harmful spells, prevents cast interruption and absorbs up to 50000 damage.
Dark Empowerment (Buff) – Empoweres the target to deal AoE damage and become immune to interrupts.
Curse of Torpor (Debuff) – Increases ability cooldowns by 15 seconds for 15 seconds, can be decursed.
Dark Martyrdom (Shadowstorm) – The caster explodes and deals Shadowstorm Damage to everyone within 15 yards. Shortly after reanimated by Lady Deathwhisper.
Adherent’s Determination (Buff) – Applies when reanimated, nearly impervious to magical damage!
Cult Fanatic & Reanimated Fanatic:
Shadow Cleave (Shadow) – Deals Shadow Damage to enemies in front of the caster.
Necrotic Strike (Physical & Debuff) – Deals damage to a target and negates the next 14000 healing received for 20 seconds.
Vampiric Might (Buff) – Empowers a target dealing 25% more damage and receiving healing for 300% of damage dealt.
Dark Martyrdom (Shadowstorm) – The caster explodes and deals Shadowstorm Damage to everyone within 15 yards. Shortly after reanimated by Lady Deathwhisper.
Dark Transformation (Buff) – The Fanatic transforms into a Zombie, increasing damage by 100%.
Fanatic’s Determination (Buff) – Applies when reanimated, nearly impervious to physical damage!
Vengeful Shade:
Vengeful Blast (Shadowfrost) – Deals a shitload of Shadowfrost Damage to a target.
Class requirements
3 tanks to cover the back, left and right side of the room.
The pull
Lady Deathwhisper will stick to her spot during the first phase of the encounter and as she doesn’t need to be tanked, the fight will be started by the dps going all out on her.
Positions and strategy
3 tanks will position themselves on the left, right and back of the room to catch the incoming add waves and group them up on their side.
Phase One:
During phase one of the encounter Lady Deathwhisper will lose mana instead of health when attacked. The target is to get her mana pool to 0 so the second phase starts. While she is stationary, she will randomly attack players with her Shadow Bolt and tries to charm them with her Dominate Mind spell. When a player becomes charmed, he will be sheeped or in other ways be prevented on inflict damage on the raid. Also Lady Deathwhisper will cast Death and Decay in random spots in the room, these areas need to be dodged quickly to minimise raid damage!
Lady Deathwhisper will call for help in fixed time frame and 7 adds will join the fight. Three from the left alcoves, three from the right alcoves and one from the back stairs. These will be picked up by the tanks stationed there and grouped up while the raid kills them off.
You will deal with casters (Cult Adherent) and melee (Cult Fanatic) dps. They will cast helpful spells on themselves either increasing their damage, making them immune to interrupts or damage, transform themselves into a zombie (Fanatics) or sacrifice themselves with an explosion.
In case one of the Fanatics transforms into a Zombie, he will need to be killed asap as his damage increases by 100% and the tank will have a hard life staying alive. The easiest way would be to kite him a bit and hope the dps catches on quickly.
If you have one of the adds sacrifice themselves Lady Deathwhisper will most likely reanimate their corpse and at that point they will become nearly imprevious to either magic or physical damage. As a rule of thumb, casters become immune to magical and melee immune to physical damage.
When the adds are killed off, the dps will continue working on Lady Deathwhisper and the tanks will prepare themselves for further adds.
It is important you time the damage on Lady Deathwhisper timely, as you don’t want her to get into phase two if you still have to deal with adds, so watch what the raid leader is saying.
Phase Two:
As soon as her mana pool reaches zero, Lady Deathwhisper will stop being stationary and start running after the person being highest on threat. The tank will move her into the middle of the room and the raid will spread out in a circle around.
Lady Deathwhisper will now cast Frostbolt and Frostbolt Volleys which can and should be interrupted to minimise incoming damage. She will also cast Touch of Insignificane on her current tank which reduces threat generated with each application. At around 3 stacks another tank should take over. The debuff will wear off over time, so you won’t have problems tanking her with 2 tanks.
After a short while Lady Deathwhisper will start summoning Vengeful Spirits which will follow random players in the raid. If they reach them, they will explode and the target will usually die as the damage is quite high. You can outrun the spirits, they won’t last long. For this to work, people need to be aware if they are targeted, so spreading out nicely increases the chance you spot them early.
10 Player Difficulty
Lady Deathwhisper won’t use Dominate Mind. Also adds will only come from one side a time, alternating between left and right.
