Rotface

Abilities

Rotface:

Slime Spray (Nature) – Rotface faces a target and hits everyone in a cone in front of him with Nature Damage for 5 seconds.
Mutated Infection (Nature & Debuff) – Inflicts Nature Damage every second for 12 seconds and reduces healing taken by 50%. Spawns a Little Ooze when the debuff expires.

Little Ooze:

Weak Radiating Ooze (Nature) – Deals Nature Damage to targets 10 yards around the Ooze. Also forces the Ooze to merge with other nearby Ooze, forming a Big Ooze.

Big Ooze:

Radiating Ooze (Nature) – Deals Nature damage to targets 10 yards around the ooze. Also forces the Ooze to merge with other nearby Ooze.
Unstable Ooze (Buff) – Every Ooze merged with increases it’s damage by 20%.
Unstable Ooze Explosion (Nature) – After merging with 5 Ooze, it’s becoming unstable and explodes, shooting projectiles at every player’s position. After the projectiles went off you should be running to a free spot.

Environment:

Ooze Flood (Nature) – A part of the room floods with ooze, damaging and slowing you down if you pass through it.
Sticky Ooze (Nature) – Little puddles created by the Oozes damaging and slowing you down if you pass through it.

Class requirements

A paladin tank helps kiting the Big Oozes due to Blessing of Freedom. A secondary kiter may be required if the fight takes longer.

The pull

The pull will be done by the main tank charging in, the raid will split around Rotface.

Positions and strategy

Rotface will be tanked in the middle of the room, giving everyone enough space between the boss and the flooded parts of the room. Whenever Rotface does his Slime Spray, everyone should get out of the area (favourably melee) he sprays at to reduce the raid damage taken.

There will be a designated Ooze Kiter (favourably a paladin tank) that will stand away from Rotface near a wall. He will be marked with a raid icon for your convenience. Whenever a player gets Mutated Infection, he runs to the Ooze kiter and stays there with his Little Ooze until a second player with Mutated Infection joins them (or the Ooze Kiter managed to get threat off the player). At that point these will merge into a Big Ooze (which can be taunted) and then the Ooze Kiter will start his work kiting the Ooze in a circle along the wall.

If your kiter is a paladin, he will be able to cast Blessing of Freedom on himself which allows him to pass the flooded areas without slowing down.

Once the kiting has started players that get a Mutated Infection will have to run to a spot in front of the Kiter and follow him around until their Little Ooze has merged with the Big Ooze – just stay near, they will eventually merge. Do NOT run back into the raid with your Little Ooze following you!

After the Big Ooze has merged with 5 additional Oozes, it will be stunned and cast it’s Unstable Explosion. After the cast has finished, the Big Ooze will release 25 projectiles which will fly to the position of every player in the raid. At this point, you need to run to a spot no player was standing when the projectiles went off! It’s important you don’t move before the projectiles have gone off or you won’t be standing in a safe spot. Basically, just look for a area free of players and run there.

The Big Ooze has destroyed itself now and the whole process starts again. At around 30% health Rotface begins to cast his Mutated Infection incredible fast, so you may end up with 2 Big Oozes because there will be a lot of Little Oozes around. At that point a backup tank will pick up any lose Big Oozes and try to get them to the Ooze Kiter where they will hopefully merge.

10 Player Difficulty

Mutated Infection will be cast less often.
