This is our chance! Charge! To Kel’Thuzad! Wait a second.. why’s there a wall of ice here? What? WHAT!? Take cover! Bones incoming…
Abilities
Frost Aura (Frost) – Deals 1600 frost damage a second to everyone.
Cleave (Physical) – Cleave on 10 people. Don’t stand in front of him!
Tail Sweep (Physical) – Inflicts 2188 to 2812 damage on enemies in a cone behind the caster, knocking them back.
Life Drain (Shadow) – Drains 4500 to 5500 health and heals Sapphiron for 9000 to 11000 every 3 sec for 12 seconds. Is a curse and must be dispelled by mages!
Icebolt (Frost) – Encases the target in a solid block of ice, stunning it and dealing Frost damage to the target and nearby enemies. Standing behind it nullifies the following effect:
Frost Breath (Frost) – Inflicts 112500 to 187500 Frost damage to all nearby enemies.
Also there will be Blizzards breezing through the room:
Chill (Frost) – Inflicts Frost damage every 2 seconds and slows movement speed by 50% to enemies in the area of the effect.

Class requirements
None special, but a shaman or pally is useful for their Frost Resist Auras. Each player is expected to have at least 2 pieces of WotLK Frost Resist gear. The guideline is to reach about 300 Frost Resist, with all buffs and auras included.
The pull
Fairly straightforward. The tank runs in and grabs sapphiron, turning him 180° and making him face the frozen doorway at the other end of the room. The raid all rush to the left side of the room.
Positions and strategy
Sapphirons abilities count among those commonly available to most dragons, with only a few extra. His cleaves will, like any other dragon’s, chain through people standing near the tank, forcing all melee DPS to stand near his left hindleg, while his tailsweep will prove detrimental to anyone standing behind him.
The raid will spread out in the available area, healers trying to keep near the middle so they can reach everyone. Throughout the time Sapphiron is on the ground there will be Blizzards slowly pathing around the room, trying to catch raid members inside them. Its important to keep moving so you will not be trapped in its chill effect, because if you do get caught you’ll only move at half speed and take lots of damage.
At regular intervals Sapphiron will float up into the air and prepare to do a Deep Breath attack, but before he does that he will blast 3 consecutive raid members with a Frost Bolt that will freeze them in a solid block of ice, dealing medium damage but making the frozen player immune to any other damage. Sapphiron will then give an emote, and cough up a big glowing ice ball that slowly falls to the ground, and when it hits it will instantly kill anyone in the room who hasnt taken shelter behind one of the ice blocks.
Its very important that you do not take shelter behind the first ice block created, because you might yourself be the next target to get frozen. If all the ice blocks are created at the same place, it will make it very hard for those far away to make it to shelter in time. Therefore, you should try to get a bit of distance away from people who get frozen until all the 3 blocks have been created, and only then move into cover. Not TOO much, though. You shouldnt be so far away from it that you’ll wont have enough time to reach it when the deep breath is starting if you’re not one of the “lucky” ones.
After the deep breath, its back to tank-n-spank again. Remember to keep away from the blizzards. The key here is to have more awareness about your surroundings than it is to do high DPS.
Normal Difficulty
On normal difficulty Sapphiron will only create 2 ice blocks, and only 1 blizzard will path around the room.
